Training
Training focuses on obedience, retrieving, flushing, and pointing.
The amount of time needed to do this depends on many factors, including
degree of training desired by the owner, and the dog's previous experience and
temperament. Typically, a young dog from start to finish may require two or more months of training.
We use positive reinforcement and avoidance training. Electric shock collars
are used on all dogs for the purpose of distance control. Retrieving breeds can be taught both water and land work. |
Conditioning
Program
Does your dog need a refresher course? Each year before bird season,
we offer a special conditioning program for fully trained dogs.
Emphasis is placed on conditioning but birds are shot over each
dog.
